Founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1932, Velva Sheen was originally a purveyor of athletic equipment for schools, colleges, and the US Army. Velva Sheen was shuttered when American clothing manufacturing was moved overseas. The line was recently resurrected by Japanese ownership, and production was moved to California, but the same high standard quality of craftsmanship has persisted through the years.
