Freedom of expression, living in the present, a harmonious co-existence for all: Homecore founder and designer Alexandre Guarneri tackles such cerebral concepts through clothing. Created in 1992, what began as a streetwear line inspired by hip hop and its cultural movement has evolved both aesthetically and conceptually. Small details are the giveaway: red thread bisecting the back of a sweater is a small reminder of the spine, the guiding force of the body, and the sartorial reminder of the backbone. Leather thread string looped just below the beltline pulls tight around the body’s center of gravity. Care tags are adorned with a heart, representing one love. But don’t worry if you don’t get every philosophical detail woven into your Homecore garment--the clothes feel good and look great. That’s enough for us. Made in France.
